Corrections come first

If something on this site is out of date or wrong, that is the most useful thing you can send me. Include the page and what you think the right answer is, and if you have the primary source to hand, even better. Corrections get made and dated, and where the substance changes, a note stays on the page.

Questions I cannot answer

I am not an accountant, a financial adviser, or a lawyer, and I am not able to tell you what you personally should do about your own taxes, your own custodial account, or your own teenager’s situation. Not modesty: giving individual advice in those areas without a licence is a problem in itself, and the answer usually turns on details I do not have.

What I can do is point you at the agency that publishes the rule, and I am glad to.

Everything else

Suggestions for questions the site does not answer yet are genuinely welcome. Several pages here exist because somebody asked.

Not interested in: guest posts, link exchanges, sponsored placements, or writing about a product in return for anything. This site takes no money from banks, card issuers, or apps, and that is the point.
